Recently, led by Guilin Electric Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. and with the deep participation of Jiangsu Xinyi Film Co., Ltd., the world's first BOPLA film dedicated production line has completed multifunctional biaxial tensile testing, main assembly, and other work. It is about to enter the joint debugging and testing stage. During the testing period, the BOPLA film produced by the equipment meets EU and national standards in terms of biodegradability, and has been audited by authoritative certification and testing institutions at home and abroad.

Jiangsu Xinyi Film Co., Ltd. mainly produces functional films and biobased biodegradable films. Through its independently developed BOPLA film dedicated production line, it can produce various high standard biodegradable functional film products according to high-tech, high-speed, and high-quality production standards. Among them, the "film lamination+drying+anti-wear layer" coating technology is at the international advanced level.
BOPLA film, also known as biaxially oriented polylactic acid film, is an environmentally friendly material with good biocompatibility and degradability. It can completely decompose within 6 months under industrial composting conditions, which is in line with the "plastic limit and ban" policy and environmental trends. Its performance has been certified by the EU EN13432:2000 and the national standard GB/T19277.1-2011, and it has the technical foundation for large-scale production. After the biaxial stretching process, the thickness is reduced by more than 30% and the mechanical strength is increased by 40%. It has excellent optical transparency and water vapor barrier properties, and is widely used in fields such as food and medicine, electronic packaging, etc. The related production equipment has received continuous attention from the market.
The Xinyi film production workshop has introduced core modules such as high-precision biaxial stretching units and intelligent temperature control systems, which can produce products with multiple specifications ranging from 10-50 μ m. The project plan is to start frontline trial production in September and achieve full line production in December.
The project leader stated that the industrialization of BOPLA film is a key measure for the company to extend into high value-added fields based on core technology accumulation, and strives to form a large-scale layout for the biodegradable film business in the future. At present, the company has reached preliminary cooperation intentions with multiple food and electronics enterprises, planning to quickly introduce markets such as food packaging and electronic packaging, steadily promote green development driven by technological innovation, and help the industry achieve sustainable development.
