What are the advantages of thin film capacitors?
Unlike electrolytic capacitors, which require distinguishing between positive and negative poles, film capacitors are all non-polar and do not need to distinguish between positive and negative poles when in use.
At the same time, thin film capacitors also have high insulation resistance and good heat resistance. Has self-healing and non sensory properties. Excellent frequency characteristics (wide frequency response), capacitance and loss angle are independent of frequency over a large frequency range, with little change with temperature, while dielectric strength increases with temperature.

What are the main applications of DC-LINK film capacitors?
1. Photovoltaic new energy.
In photovoltaic inverters, DC-LINK thin film capacitors are generally required, such as our KYET series DC-LINK capacitors, which are mostly used by customers who produce photovoltaic inverters.
The direct current (DC) in the inverter is used as the input power source and connected to the inverter through a DC bus, which is called DC Link; The inverter generates high pulse voltage while obtaining effective and peak pulse currents from DC Link. Therefore, DC Link capacitors are chosen to absorb the high pulse currents received from the DC Link terminal and avoid the effects of voltage overshoot and transient overvoltage.
2. Used in new energy vehicles and accessories.
On new energy vehicles, there is usually an onboard inverter, which requires the use of DC-LINK film capacitors. The inverter converts the high-voltage direct current output from the battery into three-phase alternating current (DC-AC circuit) with variable current and frequency for the operation of the electric vehicle's motor. Efficient inverter technology requires powerful power modules for inversion, matching DC Link capacitors for DC support, and absorbing capacitors for voltage absorption.
Car charging station: Especially for car charging stations with fast charging function, DC-LINK film capacitors are also required, which require output filtering capacitors and DC Link capacitors.
